How have we decided to do it?
We bought supplies for a month of Nutrisystem meals.
Advertising is terrible. The events on the watch home shopping are convincing. Geez, it seems like real food, good food, and many him. It is a system made in heaven. Or is it?
Yuk.
And I do mean Yuk. If you have tried and had obtained with it, good for you. But I hope you do not stay alone too long. It simply can not a healthy way of eating for a long period of time.
Egg powder in a packet. Hot dogs in a pack. Dried soup sachets. Cereal packet. Ham in a package. Everything is either dried or vacuum. The packaging is designed to keep the content almost always edible. That may be ideal for a supply of food for survival to keep you in the garage in case of disaster but the food to eat each day? I think not. Even if you add your fruits and vegetables, it is not acceptable.
The pictures on the containers prefabricated meals look so tempting. As such, the picture on the box lasagna does not resemble even remotely what's in the box. Indeed, not very appetizing to look at.
To be fair, several pasta dishes were delicious. Some of the snacks were tasty. Most dinners were just so-so. I had to throw a couple of dinners of roast beef because the meal tray was not sealed properly and that the contents had been leaked. Not smart to eat it.
When you think about it – if you have success with the program, what happens After losing the desired weight? Unless you rethink and reorganize your food in no time, you're back to square one.
Many people accustomed and even addicted to our prefabricated, processed fast food way of life are difficult and even impossible to lose weight. In some cases, the love affair with processed foods is so strong that trying to lose weight is a lost cause.
Another problem is that many people are pressed for time and is easier to stop at the burger place to eat than it is to go home and cooking. The solution is to prepare food in advance if you have something in the refrigerator or freezer ready to go when you home from work. Crock-pot meals are also useful.
Losing weight is not difficult or time consuming if you have the will and determination to get back to basics. One program of weight loss best I've ever tried in May will no longer around. I think it was called Diet Center Diet. Our family went on the program several years ago because our daughter wanted to lose weight.
At first it was hard – I missed the carbs – but in no time, we have all become accustomed. There were no prepackaged meals. You cooked your chicken house fish and vegetables, using a variety of recipes that have been set pretty good. We stayed for a year without difficulty, the amending a little, we went with them, but still keeping core. I lost a lot of weight – perhaps too much. I was 95 pounds, but great feeling. It really was the perfect example of what I call a return to the basal diet. It was the way people ate before treatment and the revolution in fast food has invaded our lives.
Bottom line: You do not need Jenny, you do not need Nutrisystem, or any other expensive program that provides prepackaged meals. You just need to decide that you can and will do what you must do to be in charge of your health and weight. About the Nutrisystem foods we did not eat, which was most of it: I asked about the opportunity to provide the homeless shelter or simply discard. I decided that when you're hungry, something is better than nothing. The shelter was happy to accept.
